Introducing our amazing
In 2010 Autonomy became part owners of Communion Music – Richard is now a director, overseeing this pioneering Record Label, Publisher, and live promoter. Partners in the company include Ben Lovett of Mumford & Sons, Kevin Jones of Bear’s Den and top producer Ian Grimble (Manic Street Preachers, Sinead O’Connor, Texas).
The label has released records by Gotye (biggest selling UK single 2012), Michael Kiwanuka (BBC Sound of 2012 winner), and Ben Howard (2 time Brit Winner 2013), Catfish and The Bottlemen (BBC Introducing Award Winners 2014). The live company has hosted over 1000 shows including sell-outs for Jack Garrett, George Ezra, James Bay, and Ben Howard at venues such as Hammersmith Odeon, Brixton Academy and Alexandra Palace.
We have been long term fans of Dan Ickowitz-Seidler and his team at Propaganda and worked with him on a project a few years back. This relationship has grown and in May 2017 we announce the arrival of Propaganda Records which pools the resources of both Autonomy and the biggest indie club brand in the UK. Our first signing will be London 4 piece M O S E S. Propaganda is a new school label based on the old school principles of great songs and live prowess. Feeding into Propaganda’s network of club nights and considerable social media structure we are able to build campaigns to the exact needs of our artists.
